Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Kids Sikho (kidslearning.cloud) is a free learning website with educational games, lessons, worksheets and practice tests for children aged about 3–10, in Hindi and English. In this policy "we" means the Kids Sikho team. You can reach us any time through our Contact page.

2. Information stored on your device (no login)

Most of the site works without an account. To remember progress, the site saves the following in your browser's local storage on your own device:

• the child's first name or nickname, if you type one (the default is "Dost");
• XP points, daily streak, badges, favourite and recently played games;
• settings such as language (Hindi/English), voice on/off, music and screen-time limits;
• worksheet student name, class and school name, if you fill them in.

This information is not sent to our server. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for kidslearning.cloud.

When a practice test on the Exam page is finished, the result (class, subject, chapter and marks) is saved on our server so we can improve the tests. Without sign-in it is saved without any name or account.

3. Information we collect if a parent signs in with Google

Sign-in is optional and meant for parents. If you choose "Sign in with Google", Google shares with us your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture. We store these to create your account and use them only to run the service. We also store, linked to your account:

• game score, favourite games and recently played games (to sync across devices);
• practice test (exam) results;
• star ratings you give to blog posts.

We set an HTTP-only session cookie (ks_token) to keep you signed in. We do not receive your Google password.

4. Microphone and voice recording

Some practice activities let a child record their own voice and play it back. The browser asks for microphone permission first. The recording stays in the browser on your device and is not uploaded to our server.

5. Read-aloud voice (text-to-speech)

To read lessons aloud, our server sends the lesson text (for example "A for Apple") to Microsoft's speech service and stores the generated audio on our server so it loads faster next time. Only lesson text is sent — never the child's name or any account details.

6. Contact form

If you use the Contact page, we store the name, email address and message you send so we can reply. Please do not include sensitive details about your child.

7. Third-party services

• Google Sign-In — only if you choose to sign in.
• Google Fonts — the worksheets page loads fonts from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.
• Microsoft speech service — receives lesson text only (see section 5).

We do not use advertising networks or analytics/tracking tools, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

8. Children's privacy

Kids Sikho is made for young children to use with a parent or teacher. Children do not need to create an account or give any personal information to play. Accounts are for parents. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. How long we keep data

Account data is kept while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account details, progress, test results and ratings within 30 days. Contact messages are kept for up to 12 months.

10. Your choices and rights

• Use the site without signing in — nothing about you is stored on our server.
• Sign out at any time; clear browser data to remove on-device progress.
• Ask us for a copy of your account data, to correct it, or to delete it, through the Contact page (choose "Privacy / data").

11. Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, sessions use HTTP-only cookies, and access to our database is restricted. No method of storage or transfer is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Important changes will also be shown on the home page.
